About Us and Our Work

Experience and Training

Wall's Floor Coatings was established in 2010. It's co-owner and primary artist/installer, George Wall, has been working in the field of decorative coatings since 2005. Through the years, he has worked and trained with veteran installers and drawn from their years of experience. He has also been trained and certified as an installer for Elite Crete Canada, DuRock, and Power Blast Canada, leading manufacturers for decorative overlays and epoxy coatings.

"We work hard to ensure that the job is done right from start to finish." Wall's Floor Coatings is a company built on quality, therefore we refuse to cut corners to get the job done more quickly, or in order to save expense. For this reason, we may not always have the lowest price, but we can assure you that you get what you pay for.

Surface Preparation

As with any coating, the product is only as good as its substrate, and it's bond with the surface. The most time consuming and largest expense of any epoxy coating installation is the preparation which requires the right equipment. Mechanical abrasion is required for every floor even if it's brand new concrete. We will go to great lengths to ensure that the surface is properly prepared before applying any coatings.

Lack of proper surface preparation is often the reason for failure in any coating application. That is why we take seriously this vital step in providing a long lasting coating.

In order to meet regulations and for our safety and yours, it is required that we use HEPA filtration to capture the dust created in the grinding process. The equipment needed to accomplish this is expensive but essential.

We also take into consideration things like surface contaminants, vapour emissions, and the hydro static pressure that can result from it. These are all important elements to ensure you receive the highest quality coatings that you pay for.

The Right Tools for the Job

Many are concerned with idea of grinding a floor in preparation for coatings, because of the dust that is created. In compliance with district control regulations, our grinding equipment is dust controlled using a  dust extracting vacuum, equipped with high quality HEPA filters rated at 99.99 at .3 micron, that is tested and certified.

We also carry WSIB insurance and liability, so you can rest assured that your project is in good hands.
